Nominados a Mejor Juego del Año 2015 en The Game Awards

El acto anual The Game Awards, tras sufrir algunos problemas en ediciones anteriores, se quiere convertir en una especie de "Oscars de los videojuegos". Y si bien la gala va ganando en glamour y repercusión mediática (pues aparte de los premios también es el lugar idóneo para realizar anuncios de calibre con calado mundial a finales de año), hay algo que no encaja se mire por donde se mire: si se reconocen los títulos lanzados en todo el año, ¿por qué se quedan fuera parte de los bombazos más importantes de la temporada, los que salen justo antes de Navidad? Según la nota oficial:

"Los juegos deben salir comercialmente hasta el martes, 24 de noviembre, para ser candidatos a los premios".

Está claro que los organizadores tienen que preparar el evento y anunciar los nominados con antelación, pero resta credibilidad que títulos tan prometedores como Just Cause 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X o Rainbow Six: Siege aparentemente no se tengan en cuenta, o que Star Wars Battlefront figure en la lista pese a no estar aún en el mercado (aunque se entiende que, al igual que la prensa especializada, se ha probado a fondo previamente para esta consideración). Por supuesto que estos juegos podrían haber quedado fuera por su evaluación subjetiva, pero dados los tiempos cabe preguntarse cuánto ha podido valorar el jurado el producto final. La única solución es un cambio de fechas (con lo que el evento perdería todo el interés mediático y el valor de marketing para las publicadoras) o algún gesto que garantizara que todos los lanzamientos del año están considerados y no se quedan en un injusto limbo. A fin de cuentas, los juegos no se venden/consumen como las películas y los TGA no son los Oscars.

El caso es que The Game Awards se celebrará en Los Ángeles el próximo 3 de diciembre. Al contar en esta ocasión con 22 categorías de galardones, se espera que la gala ocupe un buen rato de esa noche. En cuanto al tema de los nominados, la organización ha difundido la lista completa de candidatos por categorías, disponible a continuación. Los premios de eSports los decidirá el público de forma abierta, por lo que los interesados en apoyar a sus favoritos pueden votar online.
