The NBA 2K franchise has revealed that a brand new competition called the NBA 2K19 MyTeam Unlimited $250,000 Tournament is coming soon, starting on October 13 and running until February 13, using the new MyTeam Unlimited Mode to pit players against one another in 5v5 games using any 13 cards from their collection.
32 contestants who qualify during weekly events - split evenly between PS4 and Xbox One - will then progress to a single-elimination competition on February 2, where PS4 and Xbox One winners will be crowned and move onto the Championship Finals, being played on Xbox One the week before the NBA All-Star Weekend. These finals will be best-of-three and will be livestreamed by 2K, with the winner earning $250,000 USD and both finalists getting a trip to the All-Star Weekend.
