CS:GO hits new concurrent player record

The success that is Valve's competitive shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive once again shows it's here to stay.
Lisa Dahlgren 10 febrero 2020

Counter-Strike, the competitive shooter series that's been around for two decades, starting out as a mod of the phenomenal Half-Life, is still going strong. This was confirmed over the past weekend when the most iconic games in the series, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, hit a new concurrent player record more than seven years post-release. SteamDB posted the game's Steam statistics on Twitter and when checking the statistics over, one can see that 910 000 players were taking down terrorists or, alternatively, shooting bomb squads of the law this past Sunday.

The esports scene of the game is surely helping the game stay surprisingly relative to this day, which in itself is impressive.

Were you part of the Sunday statistics in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive?
