The David Beckham-backed, London-based esports organisation Guild Esports has announced that it has signed a sponsorship deal with The Coca-Cola Company. Set to be one-year in length, we're told that this deal is the sixth sponsorship deal signed by the esports team.
It's noted in a press release that this sponsorship will see Coca-Cola regarded as Guild's official soft drinks and hydration partner, and that Guild is now the first esports organisation to sign a global sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola.
"Guild is signing up some of the world's most respected brands and we are very proud to welcome Coca-Cola as a sponsor and partner," said Kal Hourd, chief executive of Guild. "They want to collaborate with Guild because we deliver great entertainment and memorable experiences for a millennial, hard-to-reach audience in one of the fastest growing segments of the sports entertainment industry."
While the contract value is confidential, we are told that the deal is also centred around providing unique experiences and opportunities for Guild's fans.
