Gfinity reveals Garry Cook as Executive Chairman

Gfinity, the company behind such competitions as the Elite Series, has revealed that the current Non-Executive Director Garry Cook has been appointed Executive Chairman of the organisation, who is set to bring his own sports, media, and entertainment experience to Gfinity as they look to expand globally.

Cook has been Chief Global Brand Officer for UFC in the past, as well as CEO for Manchester City Football Club, so he's got a lot of experience under his belt. Gfinity's Tony Collyer, however, will be stepping down from the board after successfully seeing out the first phase of Gfinity's expansion.

There are many aspects of traditional sports that apply to the esports world. Some of the largest global sporting franchises are now engaging in this space and taking interest and participation to new levels. "
