TwitchCon San Diego scrapped due to Covid-19

This is the latest in a string of event cancellations following the start of the outbreak.
Kieran Harris 19 junio 2020

GamesCom, E3, and GDC 2020 are just some of the major gaming events that have been erased from the 2020 calendar due to the current pandemic, and now joining this growing list is TwitchCon San Diego. This follows after the event organisers pulled the plug on TwitchCon Amsterdam earlier this March for the same reasons.

An official statement from the event on Twitter reveals that the company has cancelled due to health and safety fears for both the public and staff. It further reads: "We are gutted that we won't be able to see all of you in person to connect and show what we have been creating for you over this past year. While we can't gather in person, we're exploring ways that we could join forces in an alternate dimension later this year."

What do you think TwitchCon might have in store for us in the future?
