Report: 100 Thieves purchase Immortals CDL spot

It looks like the LA Thieves dream is on its way to reality.
Ben Lyons Senior Editor 27 octubre 2020

A report from Dexerto has suggested that the Immortals Gaming Club will be selling their Call of Duty League spot to 100 Thieves. The Immortals slot was held by Optic Gaming Los Angeles after Optic sold the franchise to Immortals during a takeover a few years ago. It is also reported that the new team will become the Los Angeles Thieves.

This report comes shortly after Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez was suggested to be buying the Optic brand back from the Immortals Gaming Club. This report also suggested that H3CZ would not be retaining the CDL spot during the acquisition, making the claim of 100 Thieves taking the slot all the more real.

Due to the nature of this report, any further information is still developing. In the CDL, teams and owners do not have to vote on new ownership deals, as most professional sports do, however this doesn't mean the deal is set in stone, so be sure to keep an eye out as more information is revealed.
