Gen.G, Cloud9, and G2 Esports head to LoL's Worlds

There were second chances all round.
Sam Bishop 17 septiembre 2018

While Team Liquid and Fnatic secured their place at the World Championships by winning the League of Legends Championship Series in North America and Europe respectively, the recent regional qualifiers gave other teams a chance to head to the Worlds, and now we know who's going.

In Europe G2 Esports made up for their surprisingly sub-par performance in the regular season by booking their place at Worlds, and yet again it was Schalke 04 Esports who paid the price, having lost in the grand final of the EU LCS against Fnatic as well. Across the pond though Cloud9 defeated TSM in a repeat of their LCS semi-final match, and once again TSM fell by the wayside while Cloud9 got the win.

Over in Korea Gen.G also took on Kingzone DragonX, dominating their opponents 3-0 to join KT Rolster and Afreeca Freecs at the World Championships.

Are you excited for Worlds?
