Soon Overwatch will have its first broadcasted tournament, Elaegue, which is already widely anticipated, but there has been some concerns about the game's spectator system.

At the moment, viewers have very little access to statistics during matches and they are certainly lacking a proper overview map. Game director Jeff Kaplan told streamer "Firelight_Excalibur" that they are certainly looking in to changing that: "We want to work on more spectator mode features, in particular for sports [...] And when we do more for esport we want to add a spectator mode that has a lot of statistics for the match so that broadcasters and observers can surface more to the viewers and I think make a really great experience for viewing esport or competitive Overwatch."

That certainly sounds promising but that probably means, nothing will be ready for the great event.
