Saudi Arabia getting Electronic Saudi Professional League

This is helped by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.
Sam Bishop 1 mayo 2018

We reported last month that Dubai is getting a major esports venue, and now there's more good news for esports fans in the Middle East, because Tahawul Tech has reported that the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports (SAFEIS) has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation to work on the first Electronic Saudi Professional League (ESPL).

This partnership comes on the final day of the Saudi Arabian General Sports Authority (GSA) FIFA 18 Cup, and was signed by SAFEIS president Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan alongside ESPL president Adel Ezzat. While it wasn't stated in the report what game will be played, we can assume due to the football ties this will be FIFA.

"Here in the Kingdom we have great talent, and our duty toward (it) is providing these platforms where the best come to shine. We are also on a mission to grow the eSports economy and industry," Prince bin Bandar said.
