Splyce reportedly receives $2.6 million USD in funding

From athletes and businesses alike.
Sam Bishop 26 junio 2018

Splyce is one of the most well-known esports organisations in the world, competing in the likes of Call of Duty and Halo, and now ESPN reprots that they've raised $2.6 million USD in a funding round including Metta World Peace, Roman Harper, and led by The Ledger Group, who also added $1.5 million alone, soon rebranding to OverActive Media due to their esports investments.

First Serve Partners and The Ledger Group will be joining Splyce's board as observers, and they join at a time where Splyce are busy with their successful Halo team as well as applying for a franchise spot in Riot Games' EU League of Legends Championship Series.

"We believe that our investment in Splyce, featuring a strategic collection of iconic athletes and business leaders in our syndicate, positions us to not only capitalize on the transcendent growth of esports but to bridge the gap between athletes as entrepreneurs and investors, and continue our leadership across sports, media, and entertainment," First Serve Partners CEO Waylon Chin told ESPN.
