Codemasters has announced that Volkswagen R will sponsor the upcoming final of the Dirt World Championships, which will happen on May 26 (Saturday) at Silverstone, seeing the best Dirt 4 players go head to head from 14:00 BST.
This partnership will see players drive the Volkswagen Polo R Supercar during three rallycross events in this final, taking place at Speedmachine, the British round of the FIA World Rallycross.
"Esports is an important and continuously growing field for the automotive industry and Volkswagen R is thrilled to be the partner of the Dirt World Championships at Speedmachine. The finalists are travelling from as far as South Africa, which is incredible and proof of the global community Esports creates. We are looking forward to the finals," comments Jost Capito, Executive Director at Volkswagen R.
The champion will get to drive an RX2 car, as well as take home an Acer Predator Orion 9000 gaming PC, a Dirt Playseat, and Thrustmaster wheel. Only one of the six finalists can win though, and these finalists are Nicholas Steere; Robin Sieren; Alejandro Aroca García; Joona Pankkonen; Anders Robin Jonsson; and Quentin Dall'Olmo.
